Thanks to Procat I've re-found an article I first read several years ago.
There's no address given so I don't know if the name of Empson was just picked out of a hat, or whether there was a real Mrs Empson involved. Or even exactly how true the story is :D, given that it says it's in the magazine section.

But as I say in the thread title - 'any name will do', as I'm sure most families have a 'Mrs Empson'. To say nothing of a long-suffering Mr Empson. :D
