Newbie in West Sussex

Hi,
I apologise but i've already posted a couple of queries before introducing myself. I'm not really sure what to say.

I am currently trying to trace my family tree back on both my mothers and my fathers sides. I am particularly interested in my mothers side as she died when I was 12 and I don't know that much about her families past.

I currently live in Worthing, West Sussex but my mother, Jan Maria Ogden was born in Blackpool, Lancashire and her parents Thelma Sarah Smith and Trevor Llewellyn Ogden come from the Oldham, Lancashire and Blackpool, Lancashire areas. My father, Mervyn David Snook, was born in Chiswick, London and his parents Harry Snook and Violet May Lee were born in the Portsmouth, Hampshire and Hampton, Middlesex areas.

I am enjoying reading all the advice on the forum and website and hope I can get past some of the places I have got stuck with on my family tree.

I spent my teenage years in Worthing and my mum and sister still live there! Hope you enjoy being part of the forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable, helpful ...... and quirky people here! :D

Don't worry about making a couple of posts before "introducing" yourself - I have made quite a few posts and never introduced myself ;)
But, purely to keep on topic, I have been to Blackpool several times and my mother was born in Chadderton, Oldham :D
