LAYDEN/GRIFFIN/DENNISON England 1850-1866

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie to this site. I've been researching my family for the past 7 years. I am now concentrating on the branches from Ireland to England to the USA. I live in Pennsylvania, USA.
My current road block is locating the specific date and place of birth of Mary A. Griffin. She was born in Enland in August 1866 (abt). The last know residence of her parents Patrick & Brigget was Stoke Upon Trent, Hanley, Staffordshire, England per the 1861 census. They emmgrated to USA in May 1867. I've checked the birth indexes online, none seem to match. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you seen the entry on FreeBMD -

Mary Ann Griffin birth registered last quarter of 1864 Stoke on Trent.

District: Stoke T, Vol : 6b Page :158

No problem. The date is a little out from your abt 1866, but it does look very promising. Hanley came under Stoke upon Trent (aka Stoke on Trent or Stoke T) in that period. Later Hanley had its own sub district.
