Church wall burial

Advice on the following would be greatly appreciated.

I'm told a relative died in the 1920/30s (in infancy) and is buried under the wall of the local church.
I've heard of this happening in earlier centuries but was this something that would still have happened in the 20th century?

If you mean beside the church wall or beside the graveyard wall, yes, this was and still is common.

I've just been told the "church wall".
I'll try to find out which - the baby's brother, my uncle, may know.
