We have been researching our family tree on both sides of the family for quite a while. The Census has been a great help as it not only provides family names but also their occupations - all very interesting. I come from the Bullivant line on my mother's side of the family and have enjoyed going back each generation. I have now come to a brick wall with my great great grandfather's mother and father. His name was Thomas Bullivant and he was born c1825. He married Agnes Johnson on the 31st May 1852. He lived in the Solihull/Birmingham area.
He is shown with John Bullivant and his family in the 1841 Census age 14 but I have reason to believe because of John Bullivant's grave stone that Thomas was not his son.
Does anyone have any information regarding Thomas Bullivant's parentage?
