Change in Title

I would like to suggest that this sub-forum title be changed to

“Inn Keepers, Coffee House Proprietors, Publicans. & Licensed Victuallers, etc”

Heck - why not I was bang lazy!

A couple of reasons
Firstly to lump “kindred” trades together to keep the forum list manageable
Secondly to reduce scattering of queries by guiding them into appropriate forums

A listing of victualler “kindred” trades could contain
Inn Keepers
Landlords
Beer House Keepers
Publicans.
Coffee House Proprietors,
Victuallers, Licensed, Ship, or other
etc”
Victuallers are possibly the least known trade of the group particularley by newbees to genealogy. A newbee with a query regarding an Innkeeper is likely to bypass the Victuallers forum not realising that it is a kindred trade and post elsewhere. However, as Innkeepers do not have a homebase forum Innkeepers could become scattered over several forums depending on the logic of the poster
I do not feel it is necessary the show every trade in the title just enough to make it obvious to anyone searching for a forum what trades are covered
