Has any one done a study of families living in the Walkhampton area?
I have in my tree Abraham Giles b approx 1801. He was said on the 1851 census to be born in Fowey but as this census is full of other wrong info and no one has been able to find a baptism for him in Fowey I am sceptical that he may only have worked there. Abraham had two sons the first was named for his wifes family but I think the second was named for Abraham's, he is:-Richard Creber Williams Giles. The three family names of Giles, Creber and Williams are numerous in the Walkhampton area of Devon and there are also many named Abraham Giles. Is anyone able to throw light on Abraham's parents?
