Jon Matthews of the Isle of Wight FHS told me yesterday that although you can buy all of the society products and membership at the Parish Chest (http://www.parishchest.com/en-gb/dept_424.html), the society has an online Births, Marriages and Deaths 1837-2002 database, which is completely free for you to use.
