Preserved on CD this post office directory contains valuable information relating to the residents, trades and professions, banks, statistics of population of the city of Glasgow and its suburbs including parliamentary and municipal voters for 1896/7 and parliamentary divisions of the city and members of parliament and much more. The various suburban districts around the city are given, as formerly, revised and corrected. The boroughs of Govan, Kinning Park, and Partick are also incorporated within the general directory. The directory is arranged into sections identified as general, street, commercial and suburban including an appendix containing useful local and general information.
