Hi new here looks good here.
Im currently on 2 trails
(1) My grans parents
Here name at birth Was Contance Lane all I was ever told when I asked about
family was that my gran was 1 of 13 and her mother died in child birth.
My gran grew up in Oakengates, Shropshire.
Born 13th Oct 1916 GRO of the birth (Wellington District) Vol 6a page 1100 I think. From what I can make out the mothers maiden name was Bladen?
But with out the names of mother and father I cant order the birth cert from
gro.gov.uk.
(2) Im looking for more info on my great grandfathers Army career in WW1.
His name was Richard Latimer Sutton b 1883 so 30/31 in 1914
I have been googling and searching for info on
46th Divisional Training Battery
Royal Field Artillery
I have found 3 Richard Suttons all drivers in the Royal Field Artillery
1914 -1920
But im confused as the all have the same catalogue no. WO 372/19 but different
reg no.? On reading about the Artillery in WW1 they split, reformed and amalgamated a few times during the great war.
Any help would be great even just a little info on the 46th Divisional Training Battery its self.
