Police Service Records

One of my ancestors James Barham was a policeman from roughly 1871 - 1901, living in turn in Upwell, Coveney and Haddenham, which are in Cambridgeshire.

Can anyone suggest where I could look to find his service record or pension records?

Unfortuanately, this won't help Ruthrrr - but if anyone else is trying to trace ancestors who served with the Met (ie. in London) I've found the Police Orders site very helpful: http://www.policeorders.co.uk/
