I am trying to locate Joseph who had a daughter Hannah who was born in 1817 in Devonport or 1819 in 'Taverstock' according to the censuses.
Another daughter, Fanny, was born in 'Ledbrook', in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire about 1822.
I have no information about the mother(s) of these girls, as I have yet to find in which parish this birth was recorded.
A search of Devon baptisms, (from Devon FHS), of Jordan from 1813 to 1839 revealed no suitable Hannah. The only fathers who were blacksmiths were not named Joseph.
Devon Marriages, (Devon FHS), from 1813 to 1827 only showed a Joseph who married Agnes Eastlake in Tavistock in 1814, or another who married Elizabeth Clayton in 1817.
It is possible that there is a record, but with a slightly different spelling.
