Allen look up please

I am strating to trace my family tree on my father's side but have very little information. :confused:

In particular I'd like to track down birth, death and marriage certificates for Gilbert Allen who died in about 1976 in Nottingham and his wife Alma who died about 1978/9.

I've had a quick look on FreeBMD but found no matching info.

Grateful for any info!

That's because FreeBMD has virtually nothing after about 1920.

You need to search the full BMD indexes year by year, quarter by quarter really. There is a Gilbert Allen who died Q2 1976, Nottingham Registration District, 8 0962, given date of birth 27th April 1913.

You need the marriage certificate but there is a birth of

Alma A Roome, mothers maiden name Jennings or Jenkings - cannot be sure, Q1 1913, Nottingham, 7b 816
