John VINCENT was born in Kensington, Middlesex on 24 Aug 1750. A story published several years ago says that he was 'shanghied' on the streets of London and brought to America on a trading ship in 1762. This story may be true since I've found no indication of parents or siblings in America. His Revolutionary War Pension application states that he witnessed the Coronation of King George III. I have no other clues to his origins. Does anyone have information on a Vincent family in Kensington?
