You could try this site:
irish-roots.net
I got some interesting information on my family, they do charge a fee but are very helpful.

Try the LDS site but go to advanced search and click on pilot search (2nd on list) covering Civil Registrations from 1845. Its a bit twitchy but you can limit your search by the options. I have spent five years looking for my family and have found more in the last few weeks than the last five years. Give it a try!

I was trying to find some of my ancestors in Ireland who came from Letterkenny in Co Donegal.
I discovered that a chap had transcribed lots of information into a book (census, directories etc), that I duely bought. Immediately I found who I was looking for.
So try: exporingfamilyorigins
You may find everything you need.

Another good idea is to google "bmd's + county". The Ireland forum has a lot of resources that are too numerous to list.

Hi
I can TOTALLY recommend this site! We spent a bit of money but found quite a few of our Irish ancestors here:
ifhf.brsgenealogy.com/index.php
and, this may not help a lot, but is well worth a try:
www.
irishgenealogy.ie/index.html
Good luck!
