Hello, I am new here but I have the white hairs to prove that I have been an amateur family genealogist for a few years now |banghead|
I am from Hertfordshire, but am interested in Balls from Lytham/Fleetwood and the Fylde area of Lancashire and Bellis/Coopers/Wrights from Hanley in Stoke on Trent and Bellis' from Mold/Flint North Wales.
Looking forward to learning loads and making some new friends :)

Thanks Ed, my problem is probably far too common, I have traced my Ball family back to Lytham as far back as about 1750 defintely. My problem is, where do I go from here? I would like to trace them back further, but dont really know where to start. I know that they were the only Balls in Lytham at this time, but it is parish records that are stumping me, St Peters RC only go back to about 1750 and before that I am not sure what catholic parish they would have belonged to , if any, any pointers would be gratefully received.
