I am searching for my fathers uncle Bab Hartog immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands on the 24th of october 1951 with his wife Frida. On the back of a picture I have of this person was written: B.Hartog c/o Mrs. Virginia MM Naughton, 10726 Lakeshore Road, Baie de Infi?? Que Canada. On a later photo of him and his wife dated 1954 where also 2 children (boys, names unkown to me). Anyone can help me with this?
Thanks in advantage.

Hi. I suspect the location written on the photo was "Baie d'Urfe" (or "Baie-d'Urfé" in French). This was, in 1951, a small community to the west of Montreal, which now forms part of the Borough of Beaconsfield—Baie-d'Urfé, in the new amalgamated city of Montreal. Hopefully, if you focus your efforts there, you may locate some clues.
Take care, Ian

Hi,
just incase you are not aware, there is a good site in Holland for researching Dutch family, and is free to search and look at the entries. Certificates can be ordered on line too.

I've used it quite a bit to research my family.
