Well, I'm new to Brit-Gen, but not new to genealogy! I've been researching my family and my husbands' for four years now. My family is german, and I was fortunate to inherit all the family papers. My husband's family has been the real challenge! His father's grandfather was Frederick Albert Fiszalan Rosendale, born in Clevedon, Somerset June 4 1872 and sent to Canada as part of the British Settlement scheme by an aunt (no name) in 1877; adopted by William Webster. |banghead| The other families I'm researching are James and Sarah Pilkington from Manchester, John Harries-Harris family from Wales, Francis Francis. I have some GRO records. Everytime I get one that fits, it leads me to more. Would love to get some burial records though! And I can't seem to find James Pilkington and sister Mary in the 1851 census (Manchester). Their mother Catherine remarried in 1850 to Stephen Summers.
