I have been searching my mother's roots in the Leicester area (surnames Greaves, Adcock, Charles, Smith). I started about 25 years ago when a second cousin came to visit my mom and he was able to visit London to look up records for me. Sadly, Wilfred is long gone so I mostly rely on the computer now. I hope to some day have contact with relatives "over there" to help me extend the branches on the tree. I have had wonderful help already in these forums with look-ups and I am on the close to meeting a relative, thanks to one of the members. I recently was able to visit the Leicester Records Office and spent 5 precious hours finding my family! I am totally addicted to genealogy and I love reading all the forums here. Thanks for a wonderful site! :)
