Hi, Jennie, Just logged on for the first time - so I don't know whether I am doing this right or not. I am a nee BLANDY, my dad being Frederick Edward BLANDY. Born Kingston on Thames. Traced the line back for a hundred years or so, if you want to get in touch to compare info, PM me. I'd be really pleased, as I don't know the etiquette, or whether I can find this page again.

Regards Sue

Hi Sue,
Thanks for your message.
Welcome to the B.G. Forums! I haven't been a member for long either and have found everyone really pleasant and helpful. I know it'll be the same for you.

My Blandys are: Stephen Blandy, born 1805, East Ilsley Berks. married Elizabeth A. ?, b 1809, Chilton Berkshire. in 1846. Stephen died,
1869 in Easthampstead. Elizabeth died 1890 in Whitchurch Hants.
They had 2 daughters, Elizabeth A, born 1850, Wantage, Berks and Martha.
there were no sons as far as I know.
Elizabeth married my g- grandfather, John Roe of Whitchurch,Hants in 1868
They had 7 children, the eldest of which was my grandfather, John Blandy Roe.
Hope there is a connection with your Blandys.

Regards, Jennie.

Hi Sue and welcome to the forum. Nothing wrong with your etiquette so far and almost anything polite (and quite a few impolite but nonetheless funny ripostes too) goes in this friendly place. Same rules as any other well run forum really. You should be able to get back to this thread if you keep replying because the thread title will keep showing. Try using the New Posts link at the top of the page each time you log in

Good luck with your own research from another Hampshire based poster

cheers
