My husband's grandmother converted to Catholicism sometime after her husband's death (14 Mar 1928). As he was buried in the RC section of St Pancras Cemetery I'm assuming that she wished to be buried with him.

At about the same time as her conversion she had her children baptized as Catholics. My mother-in-law was very young & can't remember where she was baptized. As she attended St Joseph's School, Lamb's Passage, Islington I thought I'd start with the adjoining church. I sent a request to the priest with an sae. After not hearing anything for several weeks I also emailed, also with no response.

I'm in the NE and a trip to London isn't really feasible at the moment. Is there anywhere else I might be able to find the records, even if only to eliminate St Joseph's as the place of conversion/baptism.

St Joseph's, Lamb Passage, off Bunhill Row is part of the Diocese of Westminster. Maybe it is worth an email to them.

You might well find that a donation to the Church funds would increase the chance of a reply - no doubt the parish office is run on a shoe-string.

If Mutley's suggestion doesn't work try writing a letter to The Catholic Universe as though you are asking for help and assistance.
