Bell Ringers

HELP! My grandfather was a bell ringer and I'm almost certain that he would have learnt this skill in Lincolnshire. Are there any records available that I could check out? I would be looking at a time period of about 1914 - 1921. I know it's not an occupation as such but surely they would have been associated with particular churches.
