Hi

I have been chasing the bones of my ancestors for a long time and have quite an extensive tree but - it has been difficult. At present I am stuck, on one branch in 1690, and on another in 1685 and a few more in 1770. I think it's time to invest in one of the online geneology sites. The big questions are - Which one is the best? (or/and) are they all about average and will I be wasting my time?

It depends on where in the country you are looking

I doubt that many sites will have many original records from the periods you mention.
