Hi I have just found this forum through Parish Chest, Looks Good.
About me, started family history about 5/6 years ago. My Mother told me that we were descended from LOUIS 16`s ROYAL EXECUTIONER. well who could resist a claim like that!!
Back to reality Sanson/ Sansoune Or any of another 5 spellings have been traced by me, Much to my Mothers annoyance, Back to 1565 in Edinburgh, our own line back to 1609 in Innerwick East Lothian. As all the Sansons seem to be linked to ours in some way I shall eventually connect all the Scots Sansons back to David Sansoune in Edinburgh 1565,
One success line, the rest dreadful both grandfathers 1st generation Scots from Irish stock....OH Dear !!!!. Other Grandmother from highland Droving stock OH Dear!! Still so far so good.
I am also a volunteer transcriber for FreeReg East Lothian Innerwick, if anyone needs info from their OPR`s ask
