I would be interested to hear from anyone that can shed some light on Marie La Plante who was born in Canada (i think in Nova Scotia) in about 1847. She married a Sergeant from HM Royal Artillary by the name of George Law who was based out in Canada I would guess between 1867 - 1869. They had three sons who were born between 1869 and 1872, the last of whom, Henry Alfred Law was born at an Army Barracks in Nova Scotia. George was relocated back to England between 1872 and 1874 and after moving to several different locations within England, they finally settled in Pembroke St. Mary, Pembrokeshire, Wales in around 1881. I have tried a number of times to find out more about our Canadian ties but with no luck, a number of LaPlante families are shown on Ancestry.com but none of them appear to have any links.
