Directories and Registers

Are there any sources for Directories and Registers for the 40s, 50s and 60s? I have quite a few people I'm trying to find, but have only a rough idea of their whereabouts after the War. I've tried some Records Offices, but they seem to want quite specific information and if I had the info., then I wouldn't need their help.

There is a chap called Graham Whyte who sells these directories. I do not have a web site for him, but I will PM you his email address.

Directories for these decades regularly come up for sale on eBay and often go for reasonable prices - probably because they are still in copyright so those of us who scan directories to CD don't bid for them :)

Peter, I'm not sure about England but in the States the later directories a still in the larger Libraries. Also, you might look into local library book sales. They may turn up there.

By the way, I don't see anything wrong with your picture.
