Hi Lesley,
Can you tell me, please, how I would go about obtaining certificates for any BMD occurring after the date ranges listed for each category?
Many thanks,
Derek Barnett

Any idea how i can find out information about my scottish ancestors pre-the dates quoted? My 3xgt grandfather married in Cupar Fife in 1825 and they had 11 children, the youngest of which was my gtgt grandfather. I dont know anything about any of the others, and posts on the relevant county sites here have so far brought no response. Any advice will be very welcome. Thanks.

If you me prior to 1855 you need to search the OPRs (Old Parish Registers) available online on the IGI
http://www.familysearch.org/
and possibly more accurately on Scotlands People.
