Hi,
Can anyone do me a favour next time they visit the records office in Worcester and look up my Charles George Bond please. I have checked as many census returns as is possible and his age differs each time, so I believe he was born between the years 1818 and 1823. There are two possibilities on the IGI, the first is Charles Bond born in St. Helens, Worcester in 1818 to William and Sarah Bond, the second, is Charles Bond born in Kidderminster in 1822 to Charles and Sarah Bond.
I was hoping that one of these entries in the parish records would turn up Charles George Bond, and not just Charles!, and perhaps that would give me the lead I am looking for!! Who knows, I am desperately clutching at straws.
I am also looking for that elusive marriage of Charles Bond to Edith Packer, when and where is a mystery, but the couples first child was born in Shropshire, and Edith was born in Diddlebury, Shropshire in late 1825. if anyone comes across this marriage, please let me know, as it will be like winning the lottery, as I have searched for it for years, and never found it!! (perhaps they were never married, just my luck!!)
