Sybil Grace Brinton was born in Worcestershire, England in 1874. In 1908 she married, in England and became Sybil Preen. She died in 1928, I do not know where.

I believe that she spent time in Canada both before and after her marriage but I have no details. Not being familiar with Canadian research I do not know where to look for Canadian census records, shipping records etc and I would appreciate any help.

Regards & thanks

There is a record of George P Preen crossing into the USA at Buffalo, NY in Oct 1910, show birthdate of 1882 Last permanent residence is given as Worcester. Contact name is his father, G T Breen, of Worcester. George's occupation is carpet manufacturer. It shows him as married.

There is a second entry of George Preen arriving in Canada. Left Southampton on 14 Apr 1928 on board the SS Montroyal. He is listed as a company director and is married. Place of birth given as Kidderminster. Age is given as 46. This time he has a wife, Jane, age 27, born in St. Marys,Australia. His last permanent residence is Southampton and hers is Laleham.

No mention of Sybil, but may help trace their movements.

Sybil Grace Preen sailed from Southhampton on Jan 29th 1908 and arrived in New York on 6th Feb, on board the 'Oceanic'.

The passenger manifests describes her as aged 33 and married, though she was not apparently travelling with her husband. Her final destination was given as Peterborough, Ontario.

Her contacts appear to be listed as John Brinton, Moor Hall, Stourport and G.N.Preen, Mansfield Kidderminster. I say 'appear', as there was a lot of writing crammed into a small space and an official stamp to boot, but if you PM me with your e-mail I can send you the image for you to make up your own mind. I also have a .jpg of the Oceanic
