I have just found my grandfather's army papeers - he joined in November 1914 and was discharged by the end of November 1914. His discharge papers say ' not being likey to become an effecient soldier'. Underneath is written what can only be 'defective teeth'.!! I thought only a medical reason would get you out of the army - and defective teeth don't seem to fit that bill. Can anyone suggest anything? (Never knew this grandfather or anything about him)

I think you're right. I dont think dodgy teeth would get you out normally. My great uncle had the same thing written on his enlistment papers.
