Does anyone know anything about the COOPERs of SHIFNAL apart from what is in the SHIFNAL Parish Registers round about the year 1800? And can they help me discover which of many JOSEPH COOPERs married my g-grandmother's half-sister FRANCES CAUSER on 9th May 1822?
They had three children, all christened in SHIFNAL. According to the Marriage Certificate of the elder daughter, EMILY, (St Peter's, WALWORTH, 7th March 1846) he was a Solicitor and already deceased.
As the other two children, HENRY and FRANCES, were living with their mother's half-brother in WALWORTH ROAD at the time of the 1841 census, he had probably died before that date. A FRANCES COOPER died in NEWINGTON (which includes WALWORTH ROAD) in Dec qtr 1838.
