From his father's death cert. I find uncle ALEXANDER BAXTER born Hamilton , Scotland 1872 is living in 1917 at
56 Queens Avenue, Musswell Hill , London 11.
I'm unsure of the parishes and believe it may have become part of Finchley .
I need to know who uncle Sandy married and this is our only clue. Can some kind soul look up the 1901 census for me ?
Hope I'm in the right forum.

In that case you need data from GRO. You could search the indexes for a start but I don't know how you'd recognise your Alexander Baxter. You might have to order a GRO search but again you would need to tell them how to recognise him - father's name perhaps.
