Halford/Spilsbury Blockley

I am looking for the ancestors of Joseph Halford and Mary Spilsbury who married at Alcester, Warwickshire, England, on 26th December 1769 and then lived in Blockley

According to the PR Transcripts of Blockley via Allan Taylor's Home of the Cotswolds site there is a family of HALFORDs who seem to appear in Blockley from 1849, i.e. a William and Mary HALFORD. According to Joseph's burial record he was buried 23 May 1812, aged 65 therefore born c 1747. There is a baptismal record on Hugh Wallis' IGI site of a Joseph HALFORD, father William, baptised 17 August 1746 at Lower Lemington which is very close to Blockley. This could be worth further investigation??

Many thanks, Janet. I had looked at Allan Taylor's site, but not Hugh Wallis's, so I will pursue the Lower Lemington connection. Joseph and Mary's daughter Hester Halford was my g g grandmother.
