Please could someone tell me the occupation of Thomas Selby?
I just cannot make it out.

He is a Carman I think.
I would say Carman

The 1901 census has a Thoms J selby occupation Silversmith the 1891 census may be coinman

Carman makes him mine, though he was such a rotter I'd prefer he was not mine still...... we cannot choose can we?
Eric - Where was the Thomas J who was a Silversmith? My lot were Southwark thugs maybe you might have found me a posh bloke instead ;)
