Has anyone done any research on the Haines family (Gt Billing/Weston Favell).
I am completely stuck at Charles Haines (Haynes) b1819 in Overstone.

Hi Julie

Thanks for reply. Yes, this is the right family. I have found them in the 1841 census living in Gt Billing, but then have hit a brick wall. Cannot trace the father of Charles at all. He was only 20 at the time of the 41 census, was married and with a baby. Cant connect with other Haines around at the time.

This might be his marriage (from the Northamptonshire Marriage Index 1837-1851 CD)

Charles HANES of Ecton, bachelor, of full age, labourer, father William, shoemaker
Mary Ann BOTTERELL otp, spinster, of full age, father William, labourer
1839 13-Oct Dallington
