Does anyone have access to baptism records for the St. Philip and St. Jacob area of Bristol around the 1850's who could help me with a quick lookup to try and find the birth details of my g.gm Emma Davey that have so far eluded me?
Emma married my g.gd Edward Stone at SP&SJ on 23rd October 1871 (I have certificate) and she eventually died on 7th November 1928. (I have this certificate also). The marriage certificate gives her age as 20 whilst her death certificate gives her age as 75. These lead me to the conclusion that she was born around the 1851 - 1853 period. From the marriage certificate I know her father's name to be Thomas Davey, a haulier.
A living family member is positive that she was born in SP&SJ, but after extensive searching of the usual channels - Ancestory, 1837 - I cannot find any reference to the birth of an Emma Davey with father Thomas in the 1850's. I've even tried Emily and Davy as possibilities.
Any help or guidance who be greatly appreciated.
