G'Day, Does the name Victor F.G. Butler, born Southampton, March Quarter 1915, son of Frederick C. Butler and Laura Elgey, mean anything to you ?

It's a bit of a long shot but in my 'tree' I have a George Lyndon Butler born in Fulham, London but died in Brighton. He was married to Olive Katie Lavinia Rubidge (1897-? born and married in Brighton). They had a son Percival Ernest Butler born 1920 who was killed April 1941 when his plane crashed on landing - he was a rear gunner.

Sorry I do not have a Frederick or Victor yet, do you have any farther back than Frederick?
Have you considered getting your DNA tested?

G'Day from currently sunny, Melbourne, Australia,
In this instance DNA would not help, the Butler's are on a twig on my tree. Laura Elgey was my aunt's (Laura Mabel Elgey) mother and Victor F.G. Butler was either the step brother or brother of my Aunt Mabel. Laura Elgey and Frederick C. Butler did not marry till June Qtr 1914 in Southampton, My Aunt Mabel was born 10 Oct 1900 in Reading, Berkshire. Frederick is as far back as I go on this twig.
Regards, Syd Pattison.
