Hello folks,
If anyone has access to the appropriate index, I'd appreciate a lookup for the death of a Henry WATT who was buried on 22 July 1903 at Mount Morgan Cemetery (with no useful details!) I'm particularly seeking his age to see if he's a possible.
I'm looking for a missing Henry Watt (last spotted in New South Wales). He was born in Glasgow in 1863, parents Rebecca and William Watt.
It is faintly possible that he is the fellow that married an Anastasia Radestic in NSW in the 1890s - I've lost her as well. All Henrys and Anastasias welcome.
Best wishes,
Lenore

Bit more digging in the QLD index 1890 - 1914 shows a death for only one Henry Watt:
Name Watt Henry
Event Death
Father George Watt
Mother Elizabeth Jackson
Date 10 January 1908
Reference 1908/B009129
No Anastasia.
No children born to parents Henry & Anastasia.

Thank you for looking at that for me - a bit weird considering the burial record says it is Henry. I picked up the Henry Watt on the AGCI Index (entry from the SAG burial index), and then I looked at the Mount Morgan cemetery index which is downloadable on line, and he's on that as Henry as well. And I'm none the wiser as to whether it is him or not. Maybe Horatio was the official name, known as Henry.
Thanks once again,
Lenore

Thank you very much once again. The parents George and Elizabeth rule this one out of contention. My fellow's folks were Rebecca and William.
Best wishes,
Lenore.

Hi Lenore
Did you rule out the NSW BDM entries?? there is one for an Anatasia WATT
1900 @ Maclean (which is regarded as a Scottish settlement town), parents Paul & Victoria.
There are a few Henry Watt entries also. One in particular is a Henry who died 1911 aged 70yrs at Coonamble, no parents listed. Coonamble is inland from Maclean in Northern NSW.
These might be worth a shot to eliminate if nothing else.
Good luck, Kym

Hi Doug,
Sorry for the lengthy silence on my part - I had to abandon my research and put some time into running Christmas at my house, and clearing the rubble afterwards.
You are terribly clever to think of electoral rolls - I didn't know they could be researched in this manner. It is a very useful resource I can see, as long as people enrolled to vote. However, it doesn't looked like the Anastasia Watt's you picked up are married to the right man, not for the person I'm after anyway.
Thank you very much for your interest.
Best wishes,
Lenore

Good luck, KymHi Kym,
Sorry for my delay in replying to your most helpful response to my query. I must say that the Anastasia Watt at Maclean, as long as Watt is her married name, could well have been a Radestic in the past, with parents named Paul and Victoria, which sounds European. I'll have a closer look at her.
The one who died aged 70 at Coonamble would be too old for the Henry Watt I'm chasing - in 1911 he would have been only 48. But the age could have been recorded incorrectly, so it would be worth checking him out as well. I might find a burial record, perhaps.
Thanks very much for your interest.
Best wishes,
Lenore
