Can someone help.
I am trying to track down my Gt Gt Grandfather in 1851. He married in 1845 in the district of St George Hanover Square. I believe at St Paul's in Wilton Place to a Sarah Ann WELCH. I am trying to verify this at the moment.
In the 1871 census he is living in Charlotte Street, Islington.
I have absolutely no idea which district he was living in during the 1851 & 1861 censuses.
Alsthough born in Scotland in 1819 he moved to London and worked as a Print Compositor. I beleve he lived in the same area as his wife and they may have lived there after marrying and so it is possible he/they were there in 1851.
His name was James FRATER (born circa 1819 Sctoland). Her name Sarah Ann (nee WELCH).
Earliest known children are James John (b 1846), Edward (b 1848), Frederick (b 1850) and Oliver (b 1851).
From the IGI James John is believed to have been christened in St Andrew's, Holborn whilst the other three were christened in Old Church St Pancras.
Love to hear from anyone with any info.
