District in Shropshire - Hiscoyd/Escoid/Discoyd

Hi

One of my ancestors place of birth in censuses is Hiscoyd/Escoid/Discoyd. in Shropshire. I've tried to find this place, but without success. Any body got any ideas.

I think that there is a Discoyd over the border in Powys,somewhere near Presteigne.

Discoed is a small village as s.g.d. says, a couple of miles west of Presteigne on an unclassified road and is just in Powys although it is very close to the border with the county of Herefordshire.

Five miles north of Discoed approximately as the crow flies is Knighton which is very close to the Shropshire border.

That's of course on the boundaries as known today.
