Toomey family, help needed.

My Great Great Grandmother was Fanny Toomey, born approx 1845 in Cork area. She married Isaac Lester approx 1865. He was in the Army at Fermoy. Is there any way to trace her family?

Besides the usual Church records, I would also suggest looking through Griffith's Valuation of Ireland. There are a number of Toomey's listed as living in Cork. I believe that the Toomey surname was centred around the Cork area.
