Biography of South Australia

I have a relative Richard Williams born Pagham, Sussex in 1852 who appears in the last English census for 1871. He is said to have emigrated to South Australia as his brother Edmund had, arriving in 1866.
If anyone has access to the Biography of South Australia and can locate an entry I would be most grateful.

ChristineR, I would appreciate those marriage details you have offered. It may throw some light on him. Family talk says he may have married an Emily, but some while ago I checked out a Richard Williams married to an Emily but then discovered that it couldn't have been him as he was about 20 years too old.

My sentence construction in the original post is a bit awry. It is the Edmund Williams who emigrated in 1866 not Richard. I have no details of when Richard may have arrived.

I worked out that you did mean he possibly arrived after the 1871 census. Now, working on the theory that Edmund's marriage is the one which shows his father as Richard... this ones age is not right, however the place is Mootna Mines which seems to be the same area as Edmund hung out. The only one with the 'right' age has his father as Thomas.
