Looking for household details of John & Sarah SHORT in Frome Selwood area. John & Sarah got married in 1791 according to IGI so this would make them around 60-75 years of age (if they are still around of course) - so it is a bit of a long shot.

TIA - HiFly

There are two options that could be viable. Will post each seperatly.

Ann Short abt 1776 Somerset, England Frome Selwood Somerset
John Short abt 1771 Somerset, England Frome Selwood Somerset cloth draper

there also appears to be a 15 yr old with them but cannot begin to make out the name - poss Enna Hurl can't be sure.

Frances Short abt 1786 Somerset, England St James Somerset Taylor
James Short abt 1811 Somerset, England St James Somerset Shoe M
John Short abt 1776 Somerset, England St James Somerset Shoe M

They appear to be at the same residance as a Mary Fabin, she also appears to be the head as she is the first written for the household. Mary is a shopkeeper, aged 55.

Thanks Carrie

As the John Short I requested a lookup on, was married in Frome Selwood, it would appear to me more likely to be family 'one' of your two post reply's.

Comments?

More than likely, but I thought I would just give you both options for you to then make your decision, depending on what other information you have to back either of them up.

There is 50years inbetween their marriage and the 1841 census, so realistically it could be either one of them. The main thing is that they are both in Somerset. It has been my experience (and one well learned) that you never go "it has to be that one because ........." you must have other documents to back this feeling/decision up and never rule out anything until then.
