Hi! Researching family and found photo's of Ellen Parker in dad's album. Married my grandad John Fredrick Willits 22 May 1919 at Birkenhead. She was grandad's second wife. Ellen was aged 56 and a widow her father George Lovelady a farmer deceased, re their Marriage Cert. I have found an Ellen Lovelady in the 1861 Census though aged 7 at that time therefore aged about 63 a much older Ellen than grandad as he was 49 in 1919. Again this same Ellen in the 1881 Cen. I have 2xphotos of her taken on the same day also photo with grandad and two unknown young girls that I'm sure her daughters, their names are unkown to me.
Great if can find some trace of these girls that are in the photo.

Hi Ralph

Welcome to the forum. :) I have very vague links to the Lovelady family of Crosby, to the north of Liverpool. Mainly Roman Catholic. Any idea when Ellen died?

The only suitable George Parker that I can find is a farm labourer, rather then a farmer. He doesn't appear to have a daughter Ellen. There are a couple of Loveladys who are farmers with daughter Ellen, but their names are Joseph & Peter.
I also can't find the marriage of Ellen Lovelady to Mr Parker. There is an Ellen Lovelady born 1858 Liverpool in the 1871 census, who is in an orphanage. However, I think her father was Edward, a ship's joiner.
I wonder if Ellen had more than one marriage before she married your grandfather - or even if she had any at all!

Thank you for your welcome. As yet still to find her date of death. Will let you know when found. I've only just found her Christian name as dad and my aunt Lil just called her Auntie Willits......

Hi! It is George Lovelady who is marked down as a farmer. Parker her married name as you say perhaps a second marriage? Who knows, as I don’t have his Christian name? And am sure the name of Parker would be very difficult to trace as I have no details what-so-ever of this husband, yet I surmise the 2xgirls in the photo would have the name Parker.
Thank you for your thoughts. Ralph.
