Just discovered a Mary Dyer who married a John Abbott 1849, Jun. Plymouth. She had two children at the 1851 census: William,(11) born 1840 and Emily (9) born 1842. Her and John then had a girl Jane, born 1850. Address posted as 51 South Side St., Saint Andrew, Plymouth. Whatever happen to her husband ? Dyer must have occured after Emily was conceived. They must have married around 1838/9? This may be of no help based on the dates??

Mary's maiden name from GRO Marriage Cert. is Clements ( Best I can make of it) so what Dyer she married before 1840 is unknown at this time, but John Abbott's profession is listed as a Mariner as is Mary's father's, that's interesting when I consider the " Trinity House Pilot / fisherman" info you have listed??
