researching colquhoun family - hamilton

can anyone help - we are trying to find oout about my adopted husbands birth father - the name william/bill colquhoun appears on his adoption papers - all we know is that he was born around 1943 in hamilton and was in raf in 1960's lodged in chatham kent for a while. have made conntact with one william who is wrong one - another story we have is that he was bought up by granmother as his mother died from tb but have no confirmation of this.
