I am trying to find out why, a person from Wells somerset, would be entered in the Marriages for St Columb.

Jun 1/4 1859 vol 5c p 179.

I am looking for a Joseph Pearce from Wells Somerset, married a Mary ?

If someone could shed some light on the subject, please, I would be very grateful.

You have the date wrong. The marriage was between Joseph Henry Pearce born Dec 1840 in St Columb Minor and Mary Ball born 1839 in St Issey and it took place in St Issey Church on 7 May 1862. If you check your reference again you will see that the date is 1862 and not 1859. I am afraid this is not your Joseph as he was a Miller in St Issey all his life :D

You have solved the mystery for us, the info., given, was taken from the Free BMD, but had to try and clarify it, before ruling it out. hence the posting.
