Descendants of James's many half-siblings from Mary's previous marriage to Thomas Devenport are having a reunion in October 2006, to mark the 150th anniversary of Mary and Thomas Devenport's arrival in New Zealand with their family. Thomas died in 1859 and Mary remarried in 1861.
