Have Samuel Clulo b.1828, Ann Clulo nee Bryan b1828 and son Samuel Clulo b1851 in 1861 census at Eyre St.,Ladywood,Birmingham.
Samuel sr. died 1861.Ann marr. Charles Hyett b1810 in1862.There do not appear to be any children. She died 1871, and he marr.her sister Elizabeth Bryan, also 1871. Charles died in1872. [Was it legal to marry your wife's sister?]
What happened to young Samuel? I can not find him in any further censuses, or in any BMD index.
Birmingham Reg.Office have no record of his birth.
I am wondering if young Samuel changed his name to Bryan, his mother's maiden name and also the name of his step father's second wife!
I have sent for Elizabeth's death cert. in the hope that he might be the informant, unfortunately the informant was Thomas Bryan, son of Elizabeth. This raises another problem- I can't find any birth for Thomas, tho I do have him in the 1861 census with young Sam,as nephew.
Any other suggestions?
