In 1871 James is a widower, still at Nether Hallam, in Westbourne Road (RG10/4665/page 28)

There is a death of a James Grant registered in January-February-March 1880 at Eccleshall Bierlow, Derbyshire/Yorkshire West Riding

I am looking for any information on James Grant born c1796 (gamekeeper) married to Janet/Jessie?? I know of one son Alexander John Grant born c1825 Banff married Annn Jane Kendall in Workington Cockermouth.
James and wife some years later ended up England as a gamekeeper on the Duke of Rutlands estate in Baslow.
